ACS coaches work to inspire their students. They strive to build trust and make connections that will allow students to change their negative beliefs, build confidence and create new outlooks on their education. They are passionate, lifelong educators who have expertise in working with our target age group.
Everyone remembers that teacher who really inspired you. Unfortunately, we also remember the ones who had a negative effect on us. So often, students experience teachers who have grown apathetic or insensitive. Conversely, they can also have really energetic teachers who are not experienced enough to be particularly helpful as mentors.
Teachers have a big influence on whether a student likes a particular subject and/or thinks they are good at it. If the student routinely receives negative feedback, or is constantly hearing they are not good at a particular subject, they believe it. They also lose interest in it and discard it as a possible future career choice. If this occurs over a long period of time or multiple subjects, they may even begin to believe that they do not like school or are just not good at it. This is a cycle we aim to break through our program.
Our coaches work with students to define their strengths and inspire their success.

We hire professional educators who have experience teaching college classes and working with freshmen students. As such, they are sensitive to common issues students and families experience during that transition and are able to support them appropriately.
Our coaches work hard to develop your trust. This relationship is very important to your student and to your family and we take this responsibility very seriously.
We maintain a low Coach/Student Ratio so that each coach can dedicate the proper amount of time and attention to your student. We believe strongly that this is a critical component to what makes our program work so well. Developing relationships, particularly these types, takes time and effort. Giving our coaches the time to dedicate to building these is essential.
