With all the challenges remote and hybrid learning has thrown at students in the past few years, they have become incredibly resilient. They have learned to be flexible and to work through situations that even adults found to be incredibly frustrating. But they also learned that deadlines are negotiable, a less-than-best effort can still get a better-than-deserved grade, and that sometimes excuses are easier than owning up to what you didn’t complete. Academic Coaching is maintaining the standard of education for students in West University Place, TX.
Of course, this is not the case for every student, but we know it to be true for many. If this sounds like things you have noticed in your teen, Academic Coaching Specialists can help correct unhealthy habits and get them back on track.
Working with a coach provides incredible benefits:
- 1:1 time with a professional and experienced educator
- Better grasp on time management and work/activity balance
- Improved grades
- Increased Confidence
- Less Stress
Our coaches will help your student establish an action plan each week. This will include what they need to work on in each subject area, as well as how and when they will do it. They will anticipate/talk through any potential obstacles, learn to effectively problem-solve, and ultimately hold themselves to a higher standard.

Providing Structure to Studying can Make All the Difference
How did you study when you were in school? Or did you? At some point there was a test or project you cared enough to really buckle down for. When you did, how did you go about doing it? What did your workspace look like? How much time did you dedicate to it? If you don’t know or don’t remember, how about the grade you got? You probably remember that. Either positive or negative, it taught you about the direct proportion of your efforts to their return.
Academic Coaches will teach the art of studying effectively so that for each subject, your student can confidently apply techniques and strategies that will provide the most benefit come test time.
Helping to establish patterns of behavior from a distraction free environment, to small and incremental repetitions, your student will find multiple tools from which to pull when they are determining what works best for them. The strategies learned are all put into practice each and every week when the coach and student create a solid game plan.
