HIGH SCHOOL
TUTORING
If your high school student is stressed with their demanding course load or needs help getting back on top of a challenging subject, give us a call.
If your student is struggling with a particular subject, sometimes they can come to the conclusion that they “just aren’t good at it”. Over time, this can really have an impact on what they believe they are capable of and start to feel like they will be limited to what career options they have. While it is true that they will have things that come more natural to them, this does not mean that they are not capable of understanding and using the subject that challenges them. Students who believe they are not good at math, for instance, can feel as if they will be limited to a non-science field. This, of course, is not true. An ACS tutor can help them to understand this and show them paths that can lead to careers, both traditional and non-traditional.
Our tutors are trained to work with students to raise their confidence, while ensuring comprehension. Students will come to see how using different strategies and techniques can put things in a new perspective, possibly even challenging their beliefs that they “just aren’t good at it”!
