How can I motivate my teen to do better in school in Orange, CA?

  • Do you want your teen to be more self-motivated and capable of setting and achieving academic goals?
  • Have they become disinterested in school or seem to be disconnected?
  • Are their grades slipping but they do not seem to be concerned?

Academic Coaching Specialists are the answer to the question, “how can I motivate my teen to do better in school in Orange, CA?”

With out-of-the-box techniques and design, our program was made with your family in mind. Our coaches meet with your student and provide feedback to you, the parent, each week. We strive to support the student from multiple angels, and always include parents in the starring role.

Coaches are there to offer guidance each week, to help them stay organized and focused. They will make sure they are using proactive planning strategies to stay ahead and on top, and balance their workload. As challenges arise, they can discuss the issue, determine a plan, and follow through on the solution. Together, they are an unstoppable team, focused on academic success!

We have coaches for both high school and college levels. Each is credentialed and experienced in working with a diverse student profile. They understand the challenges and pressures of being a student, and are able to walk along side of them, providing encouragement and motivation.

Our college academic coaching program focuses on supporting students through organization, time management, goal setting and accountability.

Has your student found themselves on academic probation or falling behind in their college coursework?  Our expert educators can help!

Our high school academic coaches teach students how to organize, prioritize and utilize effective study, note and test taking strategies.

If your high school student is stressed with their demanding course load or needs help getting back on top of a challenging subject, give us a call.

Tutoring can help guide your teen to a new perspective on their least favorite subject

If your student is struggling with a particular subject, sometimes they can come to the conclusion that they “just aren’t good at it”. Over time, this can really have an impact on what they believe they are capable of and start to feel like they will be limited to what career options they have. While it is true that they will have things that come more natural to them, this does not mean that they are not capable of understanding and using the subject that challenges them. Students who believe they are not good at math, for instance, can feel as if they will be limited to a non-science field. This, of course, is not true. An ACS tutor can help them to understand this and show them paths that can lead to careers, both traditional and non-traditional.

Our tutors are trained to work with students to raise their confidence, while ensuring comprehension. Students will come to see how using different strategies and techniques can put things in a new perspective, possibly even challenging their beliefs that they “just aren’t good at it”!
